Google has won the battle over Louis VuittonAfter such a long process, finally the big Internet Company Google has won the battle over French luxury brand Louis Vuitton. Louis Vuitton filed a case against Google for committing a trademark infringement by allowing advertisers to select keywords corresponding to trademarks. This case has been referred to EU court by France Court to seek the answer that whether google was breaking EU laws by this act. France court asked Google to pay fine by supporting the owner of the trademark but EU court favored Google and denied the infringement of trademark by Google. Louis Vuitton filed a case against Google saying that the links of other firms marketing counterfeit or replica are appearing on the screen during a search using its name and It is mentioned under current policy of Google that a user searching "AdWords" with trademarked keywords will locate the name of advertiser on the right-hand side of the page. It will be mentioned under the heading "sponsored links". Advisor and Advocate General Poiares Maduro supported Google fully said that "Google has not committed a trademark infringement by allowing advertisers to select, in Ad Words, keywords corresponding to trademarks".
